The library is pleased to host “And There’s the Humor of It”: Shakespeare and the Four Humors. This exhibit, developed by the National Library of Medicine, will be on display in the library from July 2 – August 11, 2012.

This month we highlight the new format PubMed has recently implemented for limiting search results. Also, The Latest in Medical Apps highlights a free “ibook” available for the iPad and the latest in note-taking apps.

This month we explain how patrons can use the “LSUHSC-S Electronic” link in PubMed to access ScienceDirect articles .
The library continues its monthly orientation sessions on the new MyChart health record. Plus, you can find out here how to schedule a class to learn about TOXNET, the National Library of Medicine’s database for toxicology, environmental health, and related fields.
Liaison and Outreach Updates:
The LSU Health Shreveport librarians will collaborate with the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center Clinical Trials Department on an upcoming event entitled, “Ask the Expert: Inherited Breast and Gynecologic Cancers.” The event will be held at the Broadmoor branch of the Shreve Memorial Library.

Library Faculty and Staff News
The library says goodbye to one of its faculty members, and welcomes a student intern for the summer. Library faculty also published an article, received grant awards, and made several presentations at the national Medical Library Association meeting in Seattle, WA.
