Recently the Medical Library took part in the Value of Library and Information Services in Patient Care Study (E11-019). Julia M. Esparza, MLS, AHIP, was the principal investigator for the study, in which LSU Health Shrveport was one of only two study sites in the five-state South Central Region (AR, LA, NM, OK, and TX). Liaison and Outreach Updates

The library’s recent outreach and liaison activities included hosting a children storytime, training LSU Shreveport Health alumni in DynaMed and Healthelinks, conducting a client satisfaction survey for the Writing Consultants service, and partnering with the Dept. of Pediatrics for the annual Reach Out and Read book drive.
